PCC Community Markets is big in a way that still feels thoughtful. What began in 1953 as a food-buying club has grown into the largest grocery co-op in the U.S., with 15 locations in Seattle. Despite the scale, PCC stays true to its roots: prioritizing Northwest farmers and producers, maintaining stringent animal welfare standards, and offering organically certified products in all its locations.

PCC carries a full range of certified organic and natural groceries, with a strong emphasis on locally sourced produce from PNW farms. Premium meats are cut by in-house butchers and sustainable seafood is sourced from local fisheries, with the same high standards carrying through to the local, independent brands of cheese and dairy, with options ranging from grass-fed cow's milk to fresh goat's milk and plant-based alternatives. The wine and beer selection is a nice reflection of the region's independent breweries and vineyards.

The bulk section is a standout, with organic options across grains, beans, nuts, spices, coffee, baking staples, and body care products, allowing you to get only what you need without the extra packaging. The deli is scratch-made daily, with a seasonally rotating menu of hot entrees, soups, prepared salads, and sides. Fresh sushi is hand-rolled daily at most locations, and PCC pizza is available by the slice, whole pie, or take-and-bake. Custom cakes and cupcakes are available through the PCC Bakery with advance notice, a nice option if you're celebrating while traveling.

With 17 locations across the Seattle metro area, there's likely a PCC close to wherever you're staying. The deli options rotate throughout the day, from breakfast sandwiches to salads and sides for lunch, and prepared options for an easy dinner. For a simple pizza night, choose from by the slice, whole pie, or take-and-bake, along with a fresh salad available in both single-serve and family sizes.
