What started in 1972 as a buying club in a living room has evolved into a full-service grocery store cooperatively owned by over 8,000 local households. The Davis Food Co-op is open 364 days a year and carries everything from organic produce to pantry staples, with a genuine commitment to local sourcing, sustainability, and creating an inclusive community.

The Co-op showcases natural, organic, and local foods, with every produce item labeled with its origin — and anything grown within 100 miles earns a "Local" tag. The full-service butcher counter offers quality meats, and the deli is well-stocked for easy meal solutions. The bulk section carries a strong selection of spices, herbs, nuts, and pantry staples, rooted in the co-op's original buying club roots. You'll also find a solid cheese selection, fair trade products throughout the store, and a coffee and smoothie bar for your morning run.
