Community Food Co-op in Bellingham opened in 1970, making it one of the original stores that paved the way for the natural food market. Over the years, the Co-op has evolved and expanded to two locations, but their mission remains the same: provide good food for their community, based on people not profit. While they are a member organization, everyone is welcome to shop.

The Co-op offers premium unique products, prioritizing organic produce and sourcing from local vendors, distributors, and farms in neighboring counties whenever possible. The meat and seafood department offers premium selections including grass-fed, free-range, and organic meats. One of the standout features is their bulk food section, with more than 900 items including coffee, spices, granola, snacks, and specialty dry goods, with plenty of organic, fair trade, and gluten-free options throughout. You'll also find a full cheese and pairings department, wine, beer and spirits, and a wellness section with experts that can offer assistance.
