Aldrich's Market first opened in 1895, making it one of the oldest continuously operating grocery stores in Washington state. Over the course of more than a century, the store has changed hands many times, but what has never changed is the community's commitment to keeping it alive. Offering everything from fresh sushi and house-baked goods to locally made pantry staples and a well-stocked bottle shop, its staying power says everything about what this place means to the people of Port Townsend.

Step inside and it's immediately clear this is not your average grocery store. Aldrich's carries a thoughtful mix of small-batch and conventional products, giving equal shelf space to both. You'll find artisan goods from across the Pacific Northwest, including local kombuchas, small-batch hot sauces, rand egional teas, alongside fresh fruits and vegetables sourced from nearby farms. The beer, wine, and spirits section is well curated, and the international foods aisle rewards a slow browse. There's a solid selection of gluten-free and vegan options woven throughout, plus merch, cards, stickers, and the kind of finds that are perfect for gifts or mementos.
